Our Story

The Chesapeake Suites concept was developed in 2005 by Bill & Kathy McInnis. After witnessing many seniors struggle with apartment living, they had a vision of providing secure, full service, accessible active-living suites for seniors. The focal of these buildings would be large common areas for events and activities with the hopes of fostering supportive community settings. They brought this vision to life and are proud of their Chesapeake Family, which includes 6 locations, 7 buildings, and more to come.

With our large common rooms, engaging activities & events, and our supportive live-in superintendents, we help build strong relationships and a sense of security that a traditional apartment building simply cannot offer. Our residents form close-knit bonds, referring to each other as their Chesapeake Family.

C.A.R.E Program (Caring & Reassuring Environment)

Our Chesapeake C.A.R.E Program offers a next-level sense of security that all residents can sign up for. Our live-in superintendents go above and beyond, checking on residents who sign-up for the program and assuring they are safe, sound, and accounted for using systems and protocols unique to Chesapeake Suites & Townhomes.

Our Community

We truly are one big family at Chesapeake Suites, which offers security, support and social interactions without leaving the comfort of your home. The live-in superintendents provide a 24/7 one-on-one support system while also organizing events for the building as a whole. Our monthly event calendar includes coffee mornings, cards, bingo, live music, luncheons, potlucks, birthday celebrations and much more!
